Are there any words that you often heard when you first entered the lighting industry but didn't know the meaning at all? Today I chose these words, let’s take a look!
1 -- What does PAR mean in LED lighting?
PAR is actually an abbreviation of three words parabolic -- Parabolic Aluminized Reflector. These bulbs have a lamp, reflector, and pressed lens inside the lamp to provide directional lighting. They have a shorter body than BR light bulbs with a bowl shape. It produces a highly directional beam.
2 -- What is Chip-on-Board (“COB”) LEDs?
Chip-on-Board or "COB" refers to the mounting of a bare LED chip in direct contact with a substrate to produce LED arrays. COB LEDs have a number of advantages over older LED technologies, COB technology allows for a much higher packing density of the LED array, or what light engineers refer to as improved "lumen density". This results in higher intensity and greater uniformity of light. Alternatively, using COB LED technology can greatly reduce the footprint and energy consumption of the LED array while keeping light output constant.
3 -- What is CMY mean that we usually said?
CMY is an abbreviation for the three colors of Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. With Black, it is the CMYK subtractive color mixing mode. One of the colors produced by this method It is called subtractive color because it reduces the reflected light needed for the visual system to recognize colors.
After reading the above explanation, do you have a better understanding of lighting knowledge? Everyone is welcome to add the knowledge~
